System messages can be found in a host of different locations. There are system consoles, system logfiles, security logfiles and application logfiles. A multi-platform, multi-server enterprise can generate thousands of system messages each day in hundreds of different separate locations and in many different formats.

PTC Console can simultaneously manage all of the consoles and logfiles by automatically scanning each and every system message to determine if it is one which can be ignored or if it requires an action to be taken. If action is required, PTC Console can automatically reply, if determined by the PTC Console knowledge database, or it can raise an alert for further action to be taken.
